Following a presentation on the implementation of the District’s performance contracts, the delegation visited several development projects across Gakenke District to assess their progress and monitor implementation.
Among the projects visited was the renovation and upgrading of Muhondo Health Centre, where the second phase of works has reached 99% completion. The delegation further visited the Nyabarongo II project, one of the country’s major infrastructure projects in the energy and water sectors. The project has reached 78% completion and is expected to generate 43.5 megawatts of electricity. It is also expected to contribute to the development of essential infrastructure and improve access to key services, supporting socio-economic development across the country.
