The concept "AGASOZI NDATWA" as is popularly known in Rwanda, is based on the theory that each district in Rwanda should have a Model Community in the district that must have all the features that make human livelihood meaningful. The Model community, must have all the necessities of life including water, electricity, the best health services, recreation facilities, education services, and more especially the best agricultural practices etc. Gakenke District have dug radical terraces on its AGASOZI NDATWA, provided free fertilizers and the seeds for cultivation in order to improve the agricultural production. All households in the area should have mosquito nets to sleep in, in order to curb down the prevalence of malaria infections in the AGASOZI NDATWA this would improve the health of the population |
