The district collected 132,054,832Frw out of 180,000,000Frw (73%) that was expected to be collected. There is a feasibility study that is being conducted to make an assessment of all tax-payers and the taxable goods and services within the district.

As shown above there was a big improvement in revenue collection, this is mainly to the confidence that people have in Rwanda Revenue Authority in particular and the District administration in general. There has been an increase in sensitization of the population especially on the importance of paying taxes.

The district takes taxation as a very important aspect to the district and to the country as a whole because it helps in fostering development and it makes it easy for the district to be able to provide essential amenities to the population.
